Gabe Flory joined the Western Colorado Sports Performance staff in July 2025, bringing more than a decade of experience in coaching and athletic performance to Mountaineer athletics.
Coach Flory has accumulated five years of experience as a Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, working with football programs at both the collegiate level at his alma mater, Pacific (Ore.) University, and at the high school level at Hamilton (Ariz.) High School.
In addition to his experience with football, Flory supported multiple sports at Pacific, including volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, soccer, and swimming.
Flory’s experience in athletic performance and care also extends into the rehabilitation industry, serving four years as a Lead Aide for Therapeutic Associates, Inc.
Flory spent 11 years coaching football at the collegiate and high school levels, serving on defensive staffs and coordinating special teams while also managing strength and conditioning responsibilities.
Flory was a four-year member of the re-start of the Pacific football program, which was resurrected in 2010, and contributed to a program rebuild culminating in the program’s first conference championship since 1952.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in exercise science from Pacific and a Master’s in secondary education from Grand Canyon University.
Flory has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) since 2020.
