2019 (Junior): In Emilee's third season as a Mountaineer, she played in 26 matches, starting in 25 and playing in 96 sets. She was second on the team in kills and blocks with 198 and 53 respectively. Scates averaged 2.06 kills a match and 136 digs on the season. 

2018 (Sophomore): In Emilee's second season as a Mountaineer she started 25 of 26 matches, for a total of 75 sets played...With 432 total attacks she had 134 kills averaging 1.79 kills per set...On top of her impressive 25 blocks and 99 digs.

2017 (Freshman): In Scates first year as a Mountaineer she played in 19 matches for a total of 55 sets...In those games she had 230 total attacks, 46 digs and 10 blocks.

High School: Scates is a southpaw from Centaurus High School that played outside, right side and set throughout her career. Despite her teams' under .500 record, Scates impressed all the teams she played and was named to the 4A All-State First Team as a senior. Additionally she was a two-time All-State Academic player, maintaining greater than a 4.0 GPA throughout her career.
