Thomas Bush

Bush enters his third season as an assistant coach for the Mountaineers in 2021-22.

The 2019-20 season saw Bush help the team to a 14-14 record, including 11-11 in conference play. The 14 victories equals the most wins for the program since winning 18 games during the 1998-99 season. As a team, the Mountaineers finished third in the conference in 3-point percentage (39.4 percent) and second in 3-pointers made (272).

Bush comes to Western from Black Hills State where he spent four seasons as a student coach from 2014-18 before graduating in 2018. Bush was on the staff that guided the Yellow Jackets to their first postseason appearance since joining the RMAC and Division II (2018 RMAC Tournament) and made the Dean's List his senior year. From Gillette, Wyoming, Bush played basketball and tennis at Campbell County High School and was a two-time state champion in tennis.
