Sean Corcoran begins his first season with Western State in 2014. Corcoran will primarily serve as linebackers coach for the Mountaineers.
Prior to Western, Corcoran coached linebackers and special teams at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, California. Along with the responsibilities of coaching, Corcoran ran position meetings, special team meetings, and assisted in recruiting and operations.
While at Golden West, Corcoran helped coach the team to the team's first ever playoff berth and had the best defense in the CCCAA. In 2011, Golden West was the CCCAA Central Conference Bowl Champions. During his tenure at Golden West, Corcoran coached three first team all-state linebackers and six all-conference linebackers.
Corcoran also has experience coaching at the professional level as a football and team operations assistant during the 2010, 2011 and 2012 summers with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and in 2008 as an intern with the Oakland Raiders.
After a career ending injury at California Lutheran University, Corcoran graduated from the University of Arizona with degrees in sociology and history in 2009.
