Roy joined the Western Colorado staff in January 2025 following six seasons at Northern State (S.D.) University where he served as the O-line coach and the offensive run game coordinator. He coached five Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference lineman while at NSU.
This past season the Wolves averaged 4.6 yards per rush and 167.3 rushing yards per game, while the line allowed just 16 sacks over 11 games.
Roy was the program’s travel coordinator from 2022-24, after serving as the camp coordinator from 2019-21.
Prior to his time at Northern State, Roy served in the same capacities, in addition to developing and leading the strength and conditioning program, are Rocky Mountain (Mont.) College from July 2016 to December 2018.
RMC was the Frontier Conference champion in Roy’s final season with the Battlin’ Bears, leading the conference in points per game, total yards, and scoring. He coached one NAIA All-American and eight all-conference lineman while at RMC.
Roy graduated from Southern Oregon University in June 2012 with a bachelor's degree in health & physical education.
