Brandon Warr begins his first year as assistant Sports Information Director for Western Colorado University. Warr is the primary contact for football, women's soccer, track & field (indoor / outdoor), women's basketball and men's basketball.
Warr comes to Western Colorado after being the sports editor for the Gunnison Country Times Newspaper since 2017, where he was a seven-time award winning sports editor. He also coached on the Western Colorado football staff as a volunteer coach in 2019 and was brought on full-time before the start of the 2021 season. During the 2021 football season Western Colorado finished 10-1, were Co-RMAC champions and made it to the NCAA Division II football playoffs.
Warr graduated from Western Colorado University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts emphasis in Strategic Communications and a minor in exercise sports science. Warr was also a member of the Western Colorado football team from 2014-16.
