Biography
2018-19: Redshirt Cross Country
Prior to Western: Competed in cross country and track at Central College. With the Dutch, Specht was a two-time USTFCCCA All-Central Region selection and a six-time Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference finisher.
High School: Competed in cross country and track at Dubuque Hempstead HS. School Record holder in the 5,000m, 3,200m, and 1,600 Sprint Medley Relay. Two-time State medalist in the 3,200m and 1,600 Medley Relay. Member of National Honor Society and an Academic All-State selection. Son of Ann and William, has one sibling Katie.
Why Western? "Western has an outstanding master's program in exercise physiology, as well as a historic distance-running program."
