GUNNISON, Colo.  Western Colorado athletics has announced that March 28 will be the celebratory date of its 23rd Annual Sam Boyd Crab & Steak Feed Dinner and Auction, with ticket sales opening immediately.

The annual gathering, hosted by presenting sponsors Lacy Construction and United Companies, directly supports scholarship needs for Western student-athletes and is the largest annual single fundraising event for Mountaineer athletics.

The supporters in attendance at the Mountaineer Field House enjoy an all-you-can-eat feast of Pacific Dungeness crab, steak (provided by Great Range Bison), pasta, salad, desserts and beverages provided by Lone River Ranch/High Country Beverage.

Doors open at 4 p.m. on the event day, initiating the night's festivities with a silent auction and other games and, of course, a social hour.

Dinner begins at 5 p.m. with the live auction starting at 6 p.m.
