HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Western Colorado came out swinging, with Olive Rolseth and Liv Marshall each finding early kills to keep the Mountaineers within striking distance.
  • Kyra Kidd added strong swings on the outside, and Anuhea Ka'alele spread the offense to keep Mesa guessing.
  • Western's defense showed grit, as Kaira Willits and Marshall dug tough attacks to extend rallies.
  • Despite Colorado Mesa's power, Western forced long points and capitalized with timely blocks from Breanna Nohava, pushing the Mavericks deep into rallies before Mesa closed the set 25–15.
