HOW IT HAPPENED
- Western opened strong behind early kills from Anuhea Kaalele and Breanna Nohava, jumping out to a 7–3 lead. Olive Rolseth paced the offense with timely swings, while Kyra Kidd and Emalie Depew combined for key blocks at the net. The Mountaineers continued to pressure the Griffins with balanced hitting and aggressive defense, forcing multiple attack errors. Westminster managed to rally late, stealing the set 26–24 despite Western's 14 kills and four total blocks.
- The second frame saw both teams trade early points before Westminster pulled ahead midway through. Kaalele distributed the ball effectively to multiple hitters, while Kidd and Rolseth provided consistency on the outside. Emily Robins came off the bench to add a spark defensively, and Andrew Galatia's service ace helped narrow the deficit. However, a late Westminster surge closed out the set 25–20.
