WESTERN COLORADO MEN'S BASKETBALL GOING INTO THE WEEKENDÂ |Â 2024-25 STATS
- WCU comes off a loss (77-66) in a non-conference game against the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. The Mountaineers go into the weekend with an overall record of 4-7 and a conference record of 2-2.
- Senior Trey Anderson led the Mountaineer offense with 16 points going 5-9 from the field and 4-8 from behind the arch. Senior Kade Juelfs followed with 12 points and 2 assists. Senior Amar Rivers earned 8 and paced the offense with 4 assists.
- Junior Andrew Reichart finished leading in rebounds with 7 followed by junior Jamel Hollins who earned 5. Rivers recorded 4. Senior Nalik Veasley pulled down 3 boards along with 2 steals.
- The Mountaineers shot 36.2% from the field, 33.3% from behind the arch and 88.9% from the charity stripe. WCU beat UCCS on the battle of the boards 32-31.
- WCU ended with 34 bench points, 15 fast break points, 11 points off turnovers, 22 points in the paint and 6 second chance points.
- Juelfs leads the Mountaineer offense with 139 total points (12.6 ppg). Rivers is right behind with 124 total points (11.3 ppg). They are followed by sophomore Tyler Halligan, 118 total points (10.7 ppg), Reichart, 90 total points (8.2 ppg), and Anderson 90 total points (8.2 ppg).
- Hollins is the front runner for rebounds with 71 total (6.5 rpg). Reichart follows with 54 total (4.9 rpg). Third is Rivers with 48 total (4.4 rpg).
- Buckmon has recorded double digits and leads the Mountaineers in both assists and steals with 24 assists and 17 steals. Rivers has earned 12 blocks on the season followed by Anderson who has accumulated 7 blocks.
- WCU averages 72.1 points per game, shoots 44.1% from the field, 30.9% from behind the arch, and 61.7% from the free throw line. The Mountaineers average 32.8 rebounds, 11.3 turnovers, 12.1 assists, 6.8 steals, and 2.7 blocks per game.

- The Skyhawks are on a three-game win streak, defeating New Mexico Highlands (80-77), Adams State University (88-71) and West Texas A&M (76-69).
- FLC goes into the weekend with an overall record of 8-5 and a conference record of 2-2. They average 73.3 points, 35.3 rebounds, 12.2 assists, 14.8 turnovers, 11.5 steals, and 3.1 blocks per game. Â
- Senior Biko Johnson paces the offense with 211 total points, averaging 16.2 ppg. Right behind him is fifth year Tru Allen with 169 points (13 ppg), then senior Chuol Deng with 164 points (12.6 ppg).
- Deng leads FLC in rebounds with 110 total (8.5 rpg) and blocks with 20 total. Johnson is right behind pulling down 61 total rebounds (4.7 rpg). Allen is the front runner for assist with 40 total. Redshirt freshman Stewart Erhart has recorded 26 steals, followed by Johnson who has 21.

- The Cowboys are coming off a win, defeating Colorado Christian 65-58 and face Colorado Mesa on Thursday Jan. 9.
- NMHU goes into the weekend with an overall record of 7-5 and a conference record of 0-4. They average 82.3 points, 31.3 rebounds, 11.3 assists, 11.8 turnovers, 10.3 steals, and 2.8 blocks per game. Â
- Senior Kenard Richardson leads the offense with 204 total points, averaging 17 ppg. Right behind him is junior Blessin Kimble with 139 points (11.6 ppg), then senior Kyrie Thomas with 134 points (11.2 ppg).
- Richardson is the front runner in rebounds with 62 total (5.2 rpg). Junior Ezzy Dawson has pulled down 50 total rebounds (4.2 rpg). Freshman KJ LaMonte has recorded 23 assists, followed by Thomas with 21.
- The Cowboys shoot 45.1% from the field, 32.4% from behind the arch and 71.5% from the charity stripe.
