- Senior Nur Turkmenoglu kicked off set one with a kill, assisted by senior Seyun Park. Shortly after, MSU boosted their score 7-4. The Mountaineers hung with the Roadrunners, keeping the game within a score or two. WCU tied the set at 14 a-piece and won the draw 15-14. A few more ties and lead changes to follow till the score saw 18-18. MSU took over, scoring the next seven points to take set one 25-18.
- The Mountaineers earned a 3-0 edge. MSU put a few points, but WCU extended their lead 5-2. The Roadrunners were able to tie the set 5-5 but the Mountaineer's offense was too strong, moving to a 14-9 advantage. Western Colorado kept a solid lead until MSU came back, tying the score 18-18 then taking the lead 19-18. Junior Olive Rolseth and sophomore Chinaru Inoue added two more score, but MSU put set two away 25-20.
- Another back-and-forth set began with a score from MSU. The next rallies involved ties and lead changes. The Roadrunners took an 11-7 lead forcing WCU to call a timeout. Turkmenoglu was up to serve, recording another ace 11-9. The Mountaineers got MSU tripped up, Rolseth adding another ace 13-11. Points were traded, MSU kept their lead, but the Mountaineers battled and put up a competitive fight. The Roadrunners were able to come out on top 25-16 and win the match 3-0.

- Park led the Mountaineer offense smashing 8 kills. Senior Kennedy Kelly followed with 6 kills, then Rolseth with 5.
- Turkmenoglu was a force on the floor, finishing with 17 assists, 3 kills, 2 service aces, 2 assisted blocks and 9 digs.
- Leading the defense was Inoue with 19 digs. Graduate Student Myles Hilbert ended with 7 digs. Rolseth, sophomore Kacee Garcia and Freshman Grace Devall respectfully contributed two or more digs.
