CHADRON, Neb. Western Colorado kept it close against Chadron State Friday night but could not get the job done as the Eagles took the victory in three consecutive sets.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Despite Western Colorado having a consistent lead early on the first set and their best hitting percentage (.200) of the night, the Eagles gained momentum towards the end of the set to take the set 25-22.  

• It was a back-and-forth second set as the squads forced extended play. The Mountaineers saw big kills from Kerri Carsrud and Kyra Kidd late in play but fell 27-25.  

• Of the Mountaineers 13 kills in the final set, Maggie Olson came in and had four of them while also registering four digs.  

NET NOTES 

• Seyun Park continues to shine offensively for the Mountaineers recording 12 kills with a .179 attack percentage.  

• Nur Turkmenoglu kept the offensive at a quick pace with 26 kills, while registering five kills on the night.  

• Elizabeth Rupprecht and Kidd led the defensive efforts for Western Colorado as Rupprecht tallied 14 digs and Kidd came up with six blocks.
