LAST MATCHUP
- On Saturday (Dec. 31) the Mountaineers hosted UCCS to end the 2022 year and went on to lose 63-79 to the Mountain Lions. Avery Rembao and Robel Desta were the leading rebounders in that game, scoring 22 and 20-points.

Mountaineers
- Avery Rembao has shouldered the scoring load for Western this season, averaging 17.7-points (seventh in RMAC) in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) contest. At the free throw line, Robel Desta leads the team shooting 80 percent (tenth in RMAC) and a few spots down, Rembao makes 79.3 percent (12th in RMAC).
- Currently seventh in the RMAC in rebounding, Gino Corridori grabs 6.9 rebounds and Desta helps out grabbing 5.4 boards (14th in RMAC).
Mountain Lions
- Leading the way in scoring, Jon'il Fugett averaging 17.3-points which is ninth in the RMAC. Fugett also leads the team in field goal, three-point and free throw percentage. He shoots, 46.5 percent (17th in RMAC) from the field, 47.5 percent from three (second in RMAC) and 73.9 percent from the free throw line (16th in RMAC). Logan Bracamonte is also a threat from three making 36.8 percent (12th in RMAC).
- Jezza McKenzie is the team's top defender when it comes to recording steals, racking up 1.3 steals (seventh in RMAC). Beni Fungula and Fugett are ninth in the steals category each recording 1.1. Sitting in ninth in blocks is Fungula, McKenzie and Mac Stodart who each average 0.6 blocks.
Rangers
- For Regis, they are led by David Simental who scores 15.6-points in RMAC contest (tenth in RMAC). He also is the top three-point shooter in the RMAC sinking 52.5 percent and leads the team at the free throw line making 89.4 percent (second in RMAC). Eddy Egun is the next best free throw shooter making 81 percent (eighth in RMAC). Leading the team in field goal percentage is Brayden Carter who makes 50.6 percent (eighth in RMAC), followed by Simental who makes 48.2 percent (13th in RMAC).
- Sitting in sixth in rebounds, Aaron Bokol grabs seven rebounds and gets help from Brayden Carter who grabs 5.6 (11th in RMAC).
