CANYON, Texas  Western Colorado will open their home schedule with a pair of games against two more Texas teams. They will face off against Texas A&M International Friday, November 17 with a 7 p.m. tip off. They will have a late 8 p.m. tip off Saturday, Nov. 18 against Texas A&M Kingsville.

The Mountaineers are also offering free admission to the Western Colorado Basketball doubleheader Friday and Saturday night to anyone who shows their football ticket at Paul Wright Gym. 

MOUNTAINEERS HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND | 2023 Stats 

  • The Mountaineers went 1-1 in their opening road trip to Canyon, Texas last weekend.  

  • As a team, Western Colorado registered shot 35-percent from the field last weekend while averaging 17.5 point per game from the field. They found success from beyond the arch registering 6.5 threes per game.  

  • Kade Juelfs had 8.5 points per game with a 35.7-clip from the field while also leading the team in rebounds with 12 boards. Juelfs and Andrew Reichart both collected 10 defensive rebounds.  

DUSTDEVILS HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND | 2023 Stats  

  • The Dustdevils head into this weekend 2-1 and are coming off a 90-48 win over Southwestern Adventist on Tuesday.  

  • TAMU International has averaged 78.7 points per game while they have made 48-percent of their shots from the field.  

  • John Achebe leads his team in rebounds with 16 total rebounds while averaging 5.3 per game. Mathew Okoye leads in scoring with 16 points per game and 51-clip from the field.  

JAVELINAS HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND | 2023 Stats  

  • TAMUK is 1-1 on the season after taking on a pair of RMAC schools last weekend in South Dakota Mines and Chadron State.  

  • CJ Smith led the scoring for the Javs, with 26 points over their last two games while also collecting seven rebounds and three steals.  

  • Kavon Booker grabbed 17 total rebounds last weekend including 13 defensive boards alongside two blocks.
