PUEBLO, Colo.  Western Colorado soccer begins a two-game road trip with Friday's Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matchup at Colorado State Pueblo. The Mountaineers finish the trip Sunday at 16th-ranked Colorado School of Mines.

WESTERN COLORADO HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND | 2023 Stats
  • The Mountaineers are coming off their first win of the season, dominating visiting New Mexico Highlands, 3-1, with a 33-3 shot advantage along with controlling possession 69 percent of the game, including a little more than a third of the game in its attacking third.
  • Caileen Sienknecht leads the team in scoring with three goals, while five others have one goal apiece.
  • One of those single-goal scorers is Tawny Roberts, whose first career goal proved to be the game-winner in the N.M. Highlands match.
  • Goalkeeper Mei Hayashizaki (1-6-2) has started every game this season. She posts a 1.63 goals against average and has made 39 saves with a .750 save percentage.

  • The season record could be much different for CSUP as it has only been outscored by a cumulative total of nine goals to eight. The Pack's defense has allowed just one goal in six games and earned a scoreless draw in their most recent outing. Shots on goal numbers also favor CSUP, 46-42.

  • A 29-8 cumulative goals-for advantage for the Orediggers is led by Reese McDermott and Bella Campos. McDermott has seven goals and three assists, while Campos has six and three, respectively.
  • Sadie Wolf has started seven of nine games in goal for the Orediggers, earning a 6-2-2 mark while registering a 0.80 goals-against average while making nine saves.
