GUNNISON , Colo. --- The Western Colorado women's soccer team lost to CSU Pueblo 2-0 Sunday afternoon at Katy O. Rady Field.
The Mountaineers (3-4, 0-2) fell behind the ThunderWolves (3-4, 2-0) in the 39th minute when Lainee Vujcich scored on an assist from Alyssa Mireles.
The score remained that way until the second half when CSU Pueblo tacked on another in the 64th minute when Madison Jepperson scored on an assist from Daniel Torres.
The Mountaineers were outshot 18-6, including 6-0 on shots on goal.
Malia Yang paced Western with two shots.
Kaeyla Noble had four saves for Western Colorado in goal.
Western Colorado returns to action next Sunday when they travel to take on Adams State in Alamosa.
