GUNNISON --- The Western Colorado women's soccer team dropped their RMAC opener to No. 6 UCCS 4-0 Thursday at Katy O. Rady Field.
The Mountaineers (3-3 overall, 0-1 RMAC) gave up a Mountain Lion (6-1, 1-0) goal in the fourth minute of the contest before allowing another one 10 minutes later to make it 2-0.
From there Western Colorado held strong until the 61st minute when Jadyn LeDoux scored to make it 3-0 Mountain Lions. UCCS added a final goal in the 75th minute to make the final 4-0.
Casey Ober had a shot on goal for the Mountaineers while
Laura Pelino took Western's other shot.
Kaeyla Noble faced 33 shots and made 12 saves for Western Colorado.
The Mountaineers return to action 1 p.m. Sunday as they host CSU Pueblo at Katy O. Rady Field.
