LAREDO, Texas --- The Western Colorado women's soccer team rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Texas A&M International 3-2 Sunday at Dustdevil Field.
The Mountaineers (3-2) fell behind 1-0 in the fourth minute and allowed a goal in the opening five minutes of the second half to trail 2-0.
Western Colorado got on the board in the 70th minute as
Caileen Sienknecht scored her third goal of the week - assisted by Laura Paulino.
The Mountaineers got a little help in the 83rd minute as an own goal by TAMI tied the game at 2-2 and the contest would head to overtime.
In overtime, freshman
Bridget Feely scored the golden goal in the 99th minute - assisted by
Kylie Hickox - to give the Mountaineers the victory.
Overall, the Mountaineers were outshot 14-12 - including 11-5 on shots on goal.
Kaeyla Noble was again solid in goal, picking up nine saves in the Western Colorado victory.
The Mountaineers begin RMAC play this upcoming week as they host UCCS 3 p.m. Thursday before hosting CSU Pueblo 1 p.m. Sunday.
