GUNNISON, Colo. --- The Western Colorado volleyball team travels to Colorado Springs to play South Dakota Mines and University of Colorado Colorado Springs on Thursday. The Mountaineers will play the SDM Hardrockers at 2 p.m. and the UCCS Mountain Lions at 5 p.m. in Gallogly Events Center.

MOUNTAINEERS HEADING INTO THE WEEK | SEASON STATS
Western Colorado heads into the weekend after falling to Colorado Christian and CSU Pueblo last weekend on the road. The Mountaineers are now 3-6 on the season, with all of those matches played against RMAC schools. So far this season, the Mountaineers are 2-2 on the road, as they look to improve on their overall record on Thursday.

Leading the team in kills is sophomore
Jordyn Todd with 130 kills on the season. Todd is averaging 3.51 kills a set as she has played in 37 sets. Most of those kills come from a
Hanna Hendrickson assist as she leads the team with 314 assists.

Nicole Gonzales has become quite the dangerous threat when serving as she has recorded 15 aces over 36 sets played.

As the libero,
Lyria Brook has racked up the most digs among the Mountaineers with 159 over 38 sets. Brook averages 4.18 digs per set.

Four Mountaineers have now recorded 20 or more blocks on the season, led by freshman
Savanna Meyer with 39 blocks. Meyer averages 1.03 blocks per set as she has played in all 38 sets. Also recording a high number of blocks are Mountaineers
Elizabeth Koch (31 blocks),
Hanna Hendrickson (22 blocks), and
Caroline Parker (20 blocks).

SOUTH DAKOTA MINES HEADING INTO THURSDAY | SEASON STATS
The Hardrockers had a tough start to their season, losing four of their first five matches. South Dakota Mines is currently on a four game losing streak heading into Thursday's match.

The Hardrockers have four athletes with over 60 kills, led by sophomore Jacey Koethe with 110 kills on the season (averaging 2.75 per set). South Dakota Mines has two setters who have each earned over 150 assists, Shyann Bastian with 182 assists and Kiley Metzger with 153 assists.

Defensively, Koethe is their leading blocker as she has recorded 35 blocks this season. Teammate Anna Thomas keeps the ball alive for the Hardrockers, as she has gotten 165 digs over the 40 sets played.Â

UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO COLORADO SPRINGS HEADING INTO THURSDAY | SEASON STATS
The Mountain Lions roll into Thursday on a two game winning streak, as they are 4-5 overall and 4-3 in RMAC play. UCCS has a home record of 2-4 so far this season.

Offensively they have six players with over 40 kills, led by junior Lauryn Shockley with 113 kills. Most of those kills set by Emily Ettel who has 318 assists, averaging 8.37 per set.

At the net, Grace Ferguson leads the Mountain Lions with 24 blocks this season, and when the ball gets by her Jordyn Kinsey is there to get the dig as she leads the team with 127 digs.

The Mountaineers beat University of Colorado Colorado Springs at home 3-2, Western Colorado was defeated by South Dakota Mines at home in a five set match 2-3.
