GUNNISON, Colo. --- The Western Colorado volleyball travels to the Front Range this week to play Colorado Christian University on Friday and Colorado State University Pueblo on Saturday. The Mountaineers will play the CCU Cougars at 4 p.m. in the CCU Event Center and the CSU Pueblo ThunderWolves at 1 p.m. in Massari Arena.

MOUNTAINEERS HEADING INTO THE WEEK | SEASON STATS
Western Colorado heads into the weekend after falling to Regis and Fort Lewis at home last weekend. The Mountaineers are now 3-4 on the season, with all of those matches played against RMAC schools. So far this season, the Mountaineers are 2-0 on the road, as they look to improve on their overall record on Friday and Saturday.

Leading the team in kills this season is sophomore
Jordyn Todd with 120 kills on the season. Todd is averaging 4.00 kills a set as she has played in all 30 sets this season. Most of those kills come from a
Hanna Hendrickson assist as she leads the team with 254 assists on the season.

Nicole Gonzales has become quite the dangerous threat when serving as she has recorded 11 aces over 28 sets played.

As the libero,
Lyria Brook has racked up the most digs among the Mountaineers with 131 over 30 sets. Brook averages 4.37 digs per set.

Also on the defensive side are Mountaineers
Elizabeth Koch and
Savanna Meyer who each have recorded 27 blocks on the season.

COLORADO CRISTIAN UNIVERSITY HEADING INTO FRIDAY | SEASON STATS
The Cougars had a rough start to their season, with seven losses in a row before earning their first win over Adams State two weeks ago. On Wednesday, Colorado Christian fell to the Mountain Lions of UCCS in a tough five set match.

Colorado Christian has four athletes with over 60 kills on the season, led by senior Jasa Scheierman and junior Breanna Allen, each with 74 kills on the season. The Cougars main setter is Maddie Burns who has racked up 295 assists so far this season, which averages to 9.22 assists per set.

Defensively, Scheierman is their leading blocker as she has recorded 25 blocks this season. Teammate Christa Tucker keeps the ball alive for the Cougars, as she has gotten 106 digs over the 32 sets played. Â

COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY PUEBLO HEADING INTO SATURDAY | SEASON STATS
The ThunderWolves roll into the week on a four game winning streak, as they are 6-2 overall and 4-1 in RMAC play. CSU Pueblo's losses came from RMAC powerhouses Colorado Mesa and MSU Denver.

Offensively they have five players with over 40 kills, led by senior Maddy Wisniewski with 83 kills this season. Most of those kills set by Grace Hern who has 139 assists, averaging 4.96 per set.Â

At the net, the Mountaineers will need to look out for Payton Stack, as she has recorded 37 blocks this season for the ThunderWolves.

LAST SEASON VERSUS CCU AND CSU PUEBLO
The Mountaineers beat Colorado Christian on the road 3-0, Western Colorado also defeated Colorado State University Pueblo on the road in a 3-2 victory.
