LAKEWOOD, Colo. --- Women's Soccer faced off against the Cougars of Colorado Christian University on Sunday in Lakewood, Colo. as the match ended 0-0 after double overtime, giving the Mountaineers their first tie of the season.

Western Colorado was aggressive with six shots on goal, as
Casey Ober and
Mary Wilson each placed two on target.
Jessie Jacobsen and
Kylie Hickox each put one shot on target.

The Mountaineer defense held strong, as Colorado Christian was only able to take four shots on goal. Goalkeeper
Kaeyla Noble was able to save all four, keeping the Cougars scoreless.

The Cougars defense had a tough time fighting off the Mountaineers offense as Western Colorado had 13 total shots.

The Mountaineers return to action Friday, Oct. 15 as they host Westminster College on Katy O. Rady Field at 7 p.m.
