LAKEWOOD, Colo. --- The Western Colorado women's soccer team fell to Colorado Christian 4-0 on Sunday afternoon at Trailblazer Stadium.
The Mountaineers (0-6 overall, 0-2 RMAC) trailed just 1-0 at the half before the Cougars (3-3, 1-1) scored a trio of goals in the second half to pull away.
WCU was outshot 18-6 in the match - including 10-3 on shots on goal. Six different players took shots for the Mountaineers with
Andrea Grillo,
Laura Pelino and
Missa Webb each putting shots on frame.
The Mountaineers return to RMAC play next week as they take on University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (4 p.m. Friday) and MSU Denver (11 a.m. Sunday) at Walker Field in Grand Junction.
