Gunnison, Colo. – Western Colorado University women's basketball continues their hunt for the post-season. This weekend the Mountaineers will be on the road to face-off against Dixie State University and number two in the RMAC Westminster College.

The Mountaineers (14-5, 10-5 RMAC) are currently ranked number three in the RMAC just behind Westminster (16-3, 14-1 RMAC), Dixie State (11-8, 7-8 RMAC) sits in ninth in the RMAC.

Last time Western faced the Trailblazers they lost 50 to 57, and the last time they played the Griffins they lost 64 to 77.

Both Western and Westminster are coming into the weekend with two game winning streaks and Dixie with a one game winning streak.

In RMAC competitions Western is undefeated on the road, as they look to continue their streak this weekend.

Western ranks second in the RMAC for defense allowing only 55.2 points per game and field goal percentages, shooting 42 percent. The Mountaineers also rank second in three pointer percentage shooting 35 percent from beyond the three point line.

Western leads the RMAC in defensive rebounding with 600 rebounds averaging 31.6 per game.

Samantha Coleman leads the Mountaineers in scoring with 228 points averaging 12 per game, she is ranked 14
th in the RMAC for leading scoring. Coleman also ranks second in the RMAC in free throw percentage with 84 percent (63-75).

Leading the team in rebounding is senior
Tammarrah Gothard with 121 rebounds, averaging 6.4 per game and ranking 14
th on the 2018-19 RMAC rebounding list. Gothard is also leads the team in assists with 78 which ties for third most in the RMAC.

Tammarrah is currently ranked first in the RMAC and 18
th in all of division two for steals. She has 55 steals on the season averaging 2.9 per game.

Westminster has two athletes ranked number two and three in the RMAC for blocked shots.

Dixie State's Morgan Myers sits in second (behind Gothard) in the RMAC ratings for steals this season. Â Â

Both the Griffins and Trailblazers lead the RMAC in offense averaging 70 points per game.
