GUNNISON, Colo. --- The Western Colorado women's basketball team is encouraging fans to be in the giving holiday spirit as the Mountaineers host Operation Elf at their home opener 5:30 p.m. Friday against Chadron State at Paul Wright Gym.

For fans that come to the game and bring a toy, stocking stuffer, school supplies or donate $5 or more, they will be getting a Western Colorado basketball ugly holiday sweater T-shirt. All donations for the game will be going to Gunnison Valley children and their families.

It's also WCU's Ugly Sweater Night as fans are encouraged to sport their ugliest of holiday sweaters to watch the Mountaineers as they look to improve to 3-0 in RMAC play against the Eagles.
