GUNNISON, Colo. --- Western Colorado volleyball loads up to play two conference matches on the road this Friday and Saturday. The Mountaineers will travel to St. George, Utah on Friday to take on the Trailblazers at 6 p.m. then head north to Salt Lake City to face the Griffins on Saturday at 4 p.m.

The Mountaineers currently rank eleventh in the RMAC rankings with their 8-11 overall and 4-7 RMAC record.

THE MOUNTAINEERS HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND | 2019 SEASON STATS
Last week, the Mountaineers hosted South Dakota Mines and Black Hills State, losing to the Hardrockers 3-2 (18-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 15-11) and falling to the Yellow Jackets 3-0 (28-26, 25-17, 25-23).

On Friday, the Mountaineers got off to an early start winning the first two sets by an average of five points, but were unable to carry their momentum into the next three sets. Despite the loss
Hanna Hendrickson and
Myles Hilbert still recorded impressive stats, with Hendrickson recording 46 assists and Hilbert earing 28 digs on the night.

Saturday consisted of the Mountaineers getting swept by the Yellow Jackets 3-0. The Mountaineer did manage to out block Black Hills State earing 10 blocks to their three. Hendrickson was responsible for four of them with
Emilee Scates and
Brianna Hardy each recording three in the match.
