GUNNISON, Colo. --- Western Colorado volleyball loads up to play two conference matches on the road this Friday and Saturday. The Mountaineers will travel to St. George, Utah on Friday to take on the Trailblazers at 6 p.m. then head north to Salt Lake City to face the Griffins on Saturday at 4 p.m.
 
The Mountaineers currently rank eleventh in the RMAC rankings with their 8-11 overall and 4-7 RMAC record.
 
THE MOUNTAINEERS HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND | 2019 SEASON STATS
Last week, the Mountaineers hosted South Dakota Mines and Black Hills State, losing to the Hardrockers 3-2 (18-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 15-11) and falling to the Yellow Jackets 3-0 (28-26, 25-17, 25-23).
 
On Friday, the Mountaineers got off to an early start winning the first two sets by an average of five points, but were unable to carry their momentum into the next three sets. Despite the loss Hanna Hendrickson and Myles Hilbert still recorded impressive stats, with Hendrickson recording 46 assists and Hilbert earing 28 digs on the night.
 
Saturday consisted of the Mountaineers getting swept by the Yellow Jackets 3-0. The Mountaineer did manage to out block Black Hills State earing 10 blocks to their three. Hendrickson was responsible for four of them with Emilee Scates and Brianna Hardy each recording three in the match.

Dixie State University | 2019 SEASON STATS
The Trailblazers of Dixie State University come into Friday's game having won five of their last six matches. Last week they lost on the road to RMAC No. 2 ranked MSU-Denver then won against Chadron State.
 
Dixie State sits fourth in the RMAC rankings with their 13-6 overall and 8-3 RMAC record.

The Griffins of Westminster College go into Saturday's game after they play Colorado Mesa on Friday. Currently the Griffins are on a seven game losing streak. So far this season the Griffins are 1-4 playing at home.
 
Westminster sits fifteenth in the RMAC rankings, just above New Mexico Highlands.
