GUNNISON, Colo. --- Western Colorado volleyball prepares for two conference matches on the road this Friday and Saturday. The Mountaineers will travel to Denver to take on the Rangers at 7 p.m. on Friday, then face the Cougars on Saturday at 5 p.m.

The Mountaineers dropped to tenth in the RMAC rankings after last weekend's losses, now with a 7-8 overall and 3-4 RMAC record.

THE MOUNTAINEERS HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND | 2019 SEASON STATS
Last weekend, the Mountaineers were on the road as they played Chadron State and RMAC No. 1 MSU-Denver, losing to the Eagles 3-1 (25-14, 26-24, 27-25, 25-22) and falling to the Roadrunners 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-20).

On Friday, the Mountaineers sent two sets into extra points losing the first 26-24 and winning the second 27-25, as
Jordyn Todd lead the team in both kills (17) and digs (28).
Emilee Scates also recorded three aces as the team recorded six aces on the night. Again leading the team in assists was junior
Hanna Hendrickson as she earned 39 assists in the match. Â Â

Saturday consisted of the Mountaineers getting swept by the Roadrunners 3-0. The upper classmen hung tough and lead the Mountaineers across the board. The junior class of
Emilee Scates,
Lyria Brook, and
Hanna Hendrickson lead the team, Scates recorded seven kills and two blocks, Brook earned three aces and 15 digs, as Hendrickson had 11 assists.
