WBB | Western looks to break two game losing streak

Gunnison, Colo. – Western Colorado University women's basketball takes on two opponents at home this weekend. On Friday, the Mountaineers face off against Colorado Christian University at 5:30pm for faculty and staff appreciation night. Then on Saturday, Western tips off against Regis University at 5:00pm for mentor appreciation night.
 
The Mountaineers are coming off of a two game losing streak, currently sitting in fourth place in the RMAC with an overall record of 12-5 and 8-5 against RMAC teams.
 
Colorado Christian University women's team sits at eighth in the RMAC rankings with an overall of 9-10 and 7-6 against RMAC teams. The Cougars are coming off of a home win against Fort Lewis College (70-66) last weekend.
 
The women's team from Regis University is also coming off of a win last weekend against Adams State University (68-44). The Regis Rangers are ranked 11th in the RMAC standings with an overall record of 10-8 and an RMAC record of 6-7.
 
On average, Western has been able to score 62 points per game and out rebounding opponents 34 to 31. Although the Mountaineers have been undefeated on the road this year going 8-0, they are only 2-5 at home. This weekend they need turn their luck around and win both games to stay competitive in the RMAC.
