LAS VEGAS, N.M. – Four Western Colorado University men's basketball players scored in double figures, but the Mountaineers were unable to find a win on the road. Western fell to New Mexico Highlands 83-94 on Saturday night.

Western (3-12, 0-9 RMAC) led for much of the first half thanks in part to
Quincy Harding's 19 points.

Harding made 6-of-12 shots from the field and 4-of-4 free throws to help the Mountaineers score 43 first half points.

At halftime the Mountaineers trailed NMHU (12-3, 7-2 RMAC) by just three points, 46-43. However, the Cowboys extended that lead to 24 at the 10:41 mark of the second half.

That lead was cut to 11 by the end of the game after
Brady Subart scored 12 points in the final 8:48.

Subart scored 18 points in Saturday's Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matchup, making 7-of-13 field goals. The senior made 4-of-6 three-point attempts and recorded a team-high five assists.

Cole Seinknecht and
James Willis also made it into double figures. Seinknecht scored 14 points, while Willis added 10.

Jackson Ehrlirn led Western in rebounding, grabbing 10 off the glass.

As a team, Western recorded 19 assists on 31 made field goals and shot an exact 50 percent (31-of-62) from the field.

Western will resume the road trip next Friday and Saturday at Fort Lewis College and Adams State University.
