GUNNISON, Colo. – Western Colorado University Men's Basketball hosts the 4
th Annual Comfort Inn Classic this Friday and Saturday in Paul Wright Gym. Joining the Mountaineers in the annual four-game tournament this season is Colorado Mesa University, University of Texas A&M – Commerce and Northern New Mexico College.

Western (1-1, 0-0 RMAC) is coming off a big weekend, in which the Mountaineers knocked-off fourth-ranked West Texas A&M University 77-72 in Paul Wright Gym.
Following the first two regular season games
Quincy Harding is Western's leading scorer and the conference's second leading scorer, averaging 25.5 points per game.
Teammate
Monroe Porter leads the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in rebounding. The junior has totaled 18 rebounds in two games, averaging 9.0 rebounds per game.
Point guard
James Willis is also an RMAC leader. Willis has recorded eight assists, while committing no turnovers. His assist-to-turnover ratio leads the conference.
CMU (1-1, 0-0 RMAC) also enters the weekend having defeated a top-25 team. The Mavericks defeated No. 21 Dallas Baptist University on Friday, 91-80, before falling to St. Edward's University 72-84 on Saturday.
The Mountaineers and Mavericks each have potent offenses, as both teams are averaging 81.5 points per game.
CMU's Connor Nichols leads the Mavericks and the RMAC in scoring, averaging 28 points per game.
Texas A&M – Commerce (2-0, 0-0 LSC) enter the weekend having won their first two games of the season.
As a team, the Lions are averaging 82.5 points per game, while holding opponents to just 69.0 points. Four players are averaging double figures in scoring, led by Reggie Reid's 16 points per game.
NNMC (3-2, 0-0 AII) comes into the Comfort Inn Classic having lost their last two games. The Eagles defeated RMAC member Fort Lewis College 76-61 on Nov. 2.
NNMC is averaging 91.6 points per game, while allowing opponents to score an average of 85.6 points per game.
Makye Richards leads the team in scoring, averaging 18.4 points per game, while Naquwan Solomon is just behind at 16.2 points per game.
