GUNNISON – Guided by Andre Harris' double-double, Western State Colorado University men's basketball team fell victim to MSU-Denver, 75-60, Saturday evening in Paul Wright Gymnasium.

The shots were just not falling for Western, who struggled in the paint against Harris' 6-8 frame. Western shot 37 percent in the game, including 39 percent from beyond the arc. MSU-Denver was 51 percent from the field and 47 percent from deep.

For Western,
Brady Subart came out strong with 11 first half points, finishing the game with 18 points. Subart was four-for-four from beyond the arc and the same from the foul line. He was joined by
Ray Beresford who had 11 points and
Ben Beauchamp who added 10 points and didn't sink a trey for the first time since the first game of the season.

Defensively,
Monroe Porter had a team-high nine boards, while
Will Duggan fished out seven assists.

Harris had 22 points and 15 boards to lead the game in both categories. The center also had six blocks and five offensive boards. Harris dominated, leading the Roadrunners to a 34-14 paint outcome.
