SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – It was a heartbreaking loss for Western State Colorado University women's soccer on Friday afternoon. Westminster College scored the game winner with 10 seconds remaining in the second overtime, earning a 1-0 victory over the Mountaineers.

th Westminster shot that landed in the back of the net, ending the match in the 110
th minute. Madison Roemer scored her fourth goal of the season with a 35-yard free kick.

Francesca Rand was the lone Mountaineer to record a shot. Rand put the ball on target in the 58
th minute, but the shot was saved by the Westminster goalkeeper Breanna Empey.

There were a total of 22 fouls committed in the match, with Western receiving 12 and Westminster 10.

Friday was Western's fourth overtime match in seven matches this season. Three of those matches went into double overtime. The Mountaineers have a record of 1-2-1 in overtime this season and a record of 0-2-1 in double overtime.

Western will be looking to rebound on Sunday when they travel to Colorado Mesa University for a 2:30 p.m. match in Grand Junction, Colorado.
