PUEBLO, Colo. – Western State Colorado University men's basketball team fell in its final game of the season, 97-64, against Colorado State University- Pueblo Friday evening.

First half struggles haunted the Mountaineers as the team was outscored 53 to 19 through 20 minutes of play. Western turned it around to score 45 points in the second half, but couldn't overcome the early gap.

Pablo Barreiro led Western with 10 points on three of five shooting from the floor. He also tore down five boards in the process.

Danny Hopkins and
C.J. Schutt ended their careers scoring eight points apiece. Defensively,
Chances Matlock had a team-high eight boards.

Deep shots weren't sinking for the Mountaineers, as the team missed all four attempts in the first half and went two of ten in the second half from downtown.

Pueblo's Odessa Lear finished the game with a double-double 22 points and 11 rebounds.Â
