WBB | Western struggles against Fort Lewis

DURANGO, Colo. – Western State Colorado University women's basketball team lost to Fort Lewis College, 75-43, Friday evening in Durango, Colorado. The team hopes to recover quickly as they take on Adams State University tomorrow evening in Alamosa.
 
First quarter struggles haunted the Mountaineers from the start of the game. The Skyhawks outscored the Mountaineers, 22-6, in the first quarter, led by guard Astrea Reed's 13 points. Fort Lewis had five athletes score in the double-digits, including center Ande Lampert's double-double 10 points and 10 boards.
 
Taylor Mayes and Harlie Williams led the team with eight points each. Mayes also led the team with four assists, while her counterpart Sydnie Lengyel led the team with nine boards.
