GUNNISON, Colo. – Western State Colorado University resumes Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play this Friday in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Mountaineers travel to play Westminster College at 5:30 p.m. Friday night in Behnken Field House.

Western (1-4, 0-1 RMAC) is coming off a loss to Colorado Mesa University in the conference opener this past Tuesday. Despite the loss, the Mountaineers have plenty of time left in the season with 21 more conference games to play.

Harlie Williams continues to lead the Mountaineers in scoring and rebounding. The senior is averaging 10.2 points per game and has grabbed 23 rebounds. Her 45.5 percent (15-of-33) three-point shooting percentage ranks fourth best in the conference. Williams is averaging three three-point field goals per game, which ranks second best in the RMAC.

For Westminster (2-2, 0-0 RMAC), Friday night's contest against Western will be the conference opener. WC enters Friday's game coming off a 69-58 victory over future Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference member Dixie State University. Western and CMU are the only teams with a conference game played heading into the weekend.

th in the RMAC this preseason.

Forward Sydnee Taylor leads the Griffins' attack. Taylor is averaging 13.8 points per game and her 52.6 percent (20-of-38) field goal percentage is third best in the conference.
