GUNNISON, Colo. - Western State Colorado University forced 16 Metro State University Denver turnovers Saturday night. However, the Mountaineers fell to the Roadrunners 46-60.

Western (4-13, 3-10 RMAC) was led in scoring by Jade McIntosh (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colorado). McIntosh dropped 15 points on 7-of-18 shooting from the field and needs just two more points to reach 1,000 career points.

MSUD (11-6, 8-5 RMAC) led from nearly start to finish. The Roadrunners took a 28-19 lead at the break.

After only going to the free-throw line only twice in the first half, the Mountaineers made 15-of-17 from the charity stripe in the second.

Western will continue the season next weekend on the road. The Mountaineers will travel to face Colorado Christian University and Colorado School of Mines.
