ALAMOSA, Colo. - For the fourth time this season, Western State Colorado University's Jade McIntosh (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colorado) scored 20 or more points in a game.  McIntosh scored 23 points against Adams State University on Saturday night, but the Mountaineers fell 77-72.

Western (3-6, 2-3 RMAC) controlled ASU (1-7, 1-3 RMAC) for most of the game.  Western took their first lead 1:04 into Saturday night's contest.  The Mountaineers held that lead for the following 26:48, until Adams State took the lead with 12:08 remaining in the game.  ASU held on to the lead for the rest of the game.

The Mountaineers would come close near the game's end, cutting ASU's lead to three points with 1:20 remaining after a McIntosh three-pointer.  The Grizzlies made their free throws down the stretch to keep the Mountaineers at bay, winning 77-72.

Four Mountaineers scored in double figures on Saturday.  McIntosh led the way with 23 points, while teammate Stephanie Williams (RFr., Cerritos, California) added 13.  Sydnie Lengyel (Tempe, Arizona) scored 11 points for Western, and Taylor Long (Fr., Moreno Valley, California) added 10 points.

Western will continue the season Sunday in Durango, Colorado against Fort Lewis College.  The game is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. in Whalen Gym.
