GREELEY, Colo. - Western State Colorado University women's basketball played their final exhibition game of the season Monday. Western faced the University of Northern Colorado Bears and UNC prevailed 85-37.
Western (0-2, 0-0 RMAC) was led in scoring
Jade McIntosh (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colorado). McIntosh scored nine points and pulled down a game high eight rebounds. Three other Mountaineers,
Taylor Mayes (Jr., Hutchinson, Kansas),
Taylor Long (Fr., Moreno Valley, California) and
Sadie Stroup (So., Forest Hill, California), each scored six points.
UNC (3-0, 0-0 Big Sky) was led in scoring by Stephanie Lee's 22 points.
Western will continue the season Friday at the Colorado Mesa Classic in Grand Junction, Colorado. The Mountaineers will face McMurry University on Friday before facing Simon Fraser University on Saturday. Both games are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. in Brownson Arena.
