GUNNISON, Colo. - Western State Colorado University volleyball will hold their final four home games of the season starting Tuesday when the Mountaineers host Colorado State University - Pueblo. Western will hold another match this Saturday against rival Adams State University. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in Paul Wright Gym. Saturday is "Trick or Treat Night" in Paul Wright Gym for Western's game against the ThunderWolves. Fans wearing Halloween Costumes will receive free candy at the door and one lucky fan will receive $50 for the best costume.
Western (0-18, 0-14 RMAC) enters Tuesday's match looking the first win against CSU-Pueblo (13-11, 7-7 RMAC) since 2010. The Mountaineers fell to the ThunderWolves earlier this season 1-3 on the road.
CSU-Pueblo enters Tuesday's match coming off a 3-0 win over Fort Lewis College. The ThunderWolves are 2-2 in the previous four matches.
Saturday, Western hosts Adams State (13-10, 7-7 RMAC). The Grizzlies will face CSU-Pueblo on Friday night before travelling to Gunnison. ASU defeated New Mexico Highlands University 3-1 last Saturday. The Grizzlies are also 2-2 in their last four matches.
The Mountaineers enter the week having lost to No. 14 Colorado Mesa University 3-0 on the road.
Western will have two matches the following weekend to end the 2014 season. The Mountaineers will host New Mexico Highlands University on Friday before hosting Western New Mexico University on Saturday in the season finale.
