GOLDEN, Colo. - Western State Colorado University women's soccer was unable to upset No. 16 Colorado School of Mines on Sunday.  CSM scored the only goal of the game in the 19th minute.

Even with the loss, Western (6-5-5, 3-5-4 RMAC) still has a chance to make the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference playoffs.  With two matches remaining, the Mountaineers are two points out of the sixth place.  The top six teams make the playoffs and three teams have already clinched a spot.

CSM (13-1-2, 10-1-1 RMAC), sitting first in the RMAC, outshot the Mountaineers 19-10.  However, the Orediggers were only able to put two more shots on target than Western, at 4-2.

Western's final two matches will take place next weekend on the road.  The Mountaineers will first travel to Metro State University Denver on Friday, before traveling to Colorado Christian University on Sunday for the season finale.
