GUNNISON, Colo. - For the final time in 2014, the Western State Colorado University volleyball team will be on the road traveling to matches.  Western will face Fort Lewis College on Friday night in Durango, Colorado before heading to Grand Junction, Colorado for a Saturday night matchup with No. 14 Colorado Mesa University.

Western (0-16, 0-12 RMAC) faced both schools earlier this season.  The Mountaineers lost both matchups earlier in the season and will look to avenge those losses this weekend.

Against FLC (5-15, 2-10 RMAC) earlier this month, the Mountaineers pushed the Skyhawks to five sets.  In one of the closest matches so far this season for the Mountaineers, the Skyhawks closed out the match with a 3-0 run to take the fifth set 15-13.

The Skyhawks enter the weekend coming off four straight losses.

CMU (18-3, 11-1 RMAC) is currently ranked 14th in Division II by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.  The Mavericks are undefeated in October and will host CSU-Pueblo Friday night.  CMU is currently in a three-way tie for first place in the RMAC.

The match against FLC will begin at 7 p.m., while the match against CMU is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. from Brownson Arena.

After this weekend, Western will have four final home matches to end the 2014 season.
