DENVER, Colo. - For the sixth straight match, Western State Colorado University women's soccer went into overtime. The Mountaineers played the Regis University Rangers to a 1-1 regulation tie. The Rangers scored in the second overtime, getting a win at home.
Western (5-3-4, 2-3-3 RMAC) went into overtime for the eighth match this season. The Mountaineers have a record of 1-3-4 this season in overtime matches.
After going down 1-0 in the second half, Western responded 10 minutes later with a goal by
Francesca Rand (Fr., Huntington Beach, California). Rand has a team leading six goals in 2014.
Regis scored the game winner 1:26 into the second overtime. Regis' Maggie Saras received the ball in the middle of Western's box, turned and put the ball in the back of the net.

Regis outshot the Mountaineers 24-3.
Western will be back in Gunnison for two matches next weekend. The Mountaineers will face University of Colorado - Colorado Springs on Friday before hosting Colorado Christian University on Sunday.
