2012: Placed 8th at the Mountaineer Open with a time of 23:39... Ran a time of 19:19 at the OSU Jamboree... at the RMAC meet ran a time of 24:48... Ran a time of 25:26 at the South Central Regional meet

2011: Placed 21st at the Joe I. Vigil Open with a time of 18:53...Ran 20:01 at the OSU Cowboy Jamboree...Ran 24:53(6k) at the RMAC Championships

2010: Redshirted for the Mountaineers.

Prep:  Competed in cross country, track & field at Grant High School in Portland, OR. 

Personal: The daughter of Steve and Susan Becic, she has three siblings, Steve Jr., Abigail Wood, and Matty Becic. Melanie loves the Gunnison Country, and enjoys writing in her spare time. Her current literary fixation is anything written by Anthony Bourdain.
