Emma Cantril

Emma Cantril continues as Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning coach at Western Colorado University, beginning her tenure in the 2021-22 academic year.

Emma was a part of Western’s women’s soccer program in 2012-13, and graduated from Western in December 2015 with a degree in biology and exercise & sport science.

In 2018, Emma began part-time coaching in a local CrossFit gym and found a passion for helping individuals realize their athletic potential.

She began as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for Western’s women’s soccer team in the Fall of 2019. The following year she began her role as a Volunteer Assistant Strength & Conditioning coach and went on to earn her CSCS in the Summer of 2021, subsequently enrolling in Western’s High Altitude Exercise Physiology Master’s Program in the Fall of the 2021 school year.

During the Spring 2022 semester, Emma started as a Graduate Assistant in the Strength & Conditioning department at Western. She now oversees Western’s cross country team and the women’s swim & dive team, and also assists women’s soccer in their strength and conditioning programming.
