2024: Named to the College Sports Communicators' NCAA Division II Academic All-District Team … also a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Academic Honor Roll member … played in and started 16 games, accumulating 1,229 minutes for an average of nearly 77 minutes per game.

2023: Named to the All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Honorable Mention squad … earned inclusion on the RMAC Academic Honor Roll … the outside-back defender played in 17 (of 18) games and was in the starting lineup 13 times … played the entire 90 minutes of six games, and in two more registered at least 85 minutes of action … totaled 1,225 minutes of playing time across the season.

2022: Karly played and started in all 18 contests … Played in 1586 minutes … Had two shots on goal.

High School: Played at Millennium high school. Her junior year she played 635 minutes and recorded 62 steals. Improved on those numbers her senior year, playing a total of 929 minutes, recording 108 steals, two goals and one assist. Was named a captain, Arizona Academic all-star, All-Academic team and National Honors society. All three years she played her team was Region champions. Academically, had a 4.83 GPA her junior year ranked 22nd in her class. Her senior year had a 5.05 GPA which was ranked 15th in her class. 

Personal: Parents are Kurt and Kathleen Morkunas. Has one sibling Kaden. Her father ran track and field at North Central College for four years (1988-1992). Outside of soccer she loves to spend time with her family and friends. During the summer she loves to go swimming to cool off from the sun. She also enjoys spending time with her dogs and working out.
