Molly Keating begins her fourth season as the goalkeeper coach for the Mountaineer women's soccer program in 2017.

During the 2016 season, Keating helped guide goalkeeper Katie Simpson-Johnson to All-RMAC Second Team honors. That season, Western recorded seven shutouts on the season, including the first three matches. Simpson-Johnson went 299 minutes into the season without allowing a goal.

In 2014, Keating helped junior goalkeeper Meghan Jedrzejewski earn RMAC Second Team honors while ranking 10th nationally with an .879 save percentage and 26th with a .61 goals against average. On the season, Western tied for 41st in the country with a .500 shutout percentage, totaling nine shutouts.


Keating brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Mountaineer goalkeepers. A goalkeeper at Florida Atlantic University, Keating still holds the school record for career save percentage (.803), shutouts (25) and games started (80). She also tops the FAU record books in single-season wins with 16 in 2003. 

Upon graduating, Keating was the assistant women's soccer coach at Appalachian State University where her responsibilities included team  development, recruiting, team trainings, game day preparations, and administrative duties with an emphasis on goalkeeper development.

Prior to attending Florida Atlantic, Keating was the assistant goalkeeper coach for the Florida Olympic Development Program from 1998-01. Keating held the same position for the North Carolina Olympic Development Program in 2005.

Keating currently resides in Crested Butte where she is the head coach of the U-12 and U-14 Crested Butte Parks and Rec youth soccer teams. During the offseason, she is a kids alpine ski instructor at Crested Butte Mountain Resort.
