Jessica Woessner joined the Mountaineers program in March 2024. Along with other duties, working with the defensive third of the field and the goalkeepers will be among her main responsibilities.
Woessner comes to Western Colorado after serving as the goalkeeper coach for Colorado College women’ soccer during the 2023 season. One of the highlights of the Tigers’ season was a scoreless draw in the final game on the schedule against the U.S. Air Force Academy in the City For Champions Cup. Woessner’s freshman keeper recorded her first career shutout in finishing off a clean sheet against the Falcons.
Prior to her season at CC Woessner was the club coordinator for two years with the Orono Westonka (Minn.) Soccer Club. She facilitated club-wide events and scheduling for the Club’s 30 teams, while serving as goalkeeper coach for the competitive program as well as for the men’s and women’s soccer programs at Orono High School.
Woessner appeared in a school-record 68 games while playing collegiately at Harding (Ark.) University. By the end of her career between the pipes for the Lady Bisons she stood at No. 2 on the program’s career saves list with 316, and at No. 3 with 23 victories. Woessner was named the Great American Conference’s Most Valuable Player following her 2016 freshman campaign.
A native of Long Lake, Minn., Woessner graduated from Harding in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in advertising.
