Chris Trammell enters his fourth season as assistant coach of the Western State women's basketball program. In addition to his coaching duties, he is also responsible for team travel and operations.
Trammell, the nephew of Head Coach Latricia Trammell, comes to Western after five years of various basketball experience in the Southwest.
Trammell spent two years as Video Coordinator at NCAA Division I North Texas and was then promoted to Director of Basketball Operations at UNT for the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons. Trammell spent the 2006-07 season as an Assistant Coach at Oklahoma City.
Trammell was born in Shawnne, Okla. in 1977 and was a three-sport star at Sapula (Okla.) High School. As a senior, Trammell earned All-Conference honors in football and soccer and led the Chieftains to the 6A State Semifinals in both sports.
Trammell earned his degree in Applied Arts and Science from North Texas in 2007.
