Mountaineers Rise in Final Learfield Standings

CLEVELAND  The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) on Tuesday released the final NCAA Division II standings of the 2025-26 LEARFIELD Directors' Cup, a listing that shows Western Colorado finished 66th out of the 251 DII institutions that scored points at national championships during the year.

Mountaineer athletics totaled 306.5 points over the three sports seasons, earning 203.0 points in the fall, 65.0 in the winter, and 38.5 points in the spring season.

Westen's 66th-place finish is an elevation of 10 spots from the 2024-25 final standings in which the Mountaineers totaled 261.5 points.

Grand Valley ((Mich.) State earned the 2025-26 DII title with 1,089.75 points, winning the Cup for the 18th time. Leading the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in the final standings is seventh place Colorado School of Mines with 698.5 points.

Including the Mountaineers, seven RMAC teams scored in the top 100 of the final Cup standings.
