Ella Fries,
Morgan Nielsen and
Adessa Talbot have earned inclusion on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Women's Swimming and Diving teams, released Tuesday morning by the organization.
The CSC Academic All-America® program recognizes All-District® student-athletes in four divisions—NCAA Division I, II and III, and the NAIA.
Nominations for All-District® are submitted by communications directors who are members of CSC. Nominees are required to post a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 and must meet high athletic standards.
Fries and Nielsen were both previously voted to the 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Academic First Team, with Del Rosario and Talbot earning selections to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.
Nielsen qualified for and swam at the NCAA DII swimming and diving championships for the third consecutive year in 2026, breaking her own school record in the 500-yard freestyle with her 25th-place finish in the event at the championship meet. She holds Western records in the 500, the 1,000 free and the 1,650 free.
Fries scored points for Western in all four of her individual events at the RMAC championship meet, with her highest finish, ninth place, in the 100 breaststroke.
Talbot set the Mountaineer record in the 200 butterfly at the RMAC meet with her third-place finish, and also earned a championship heat finish of sixth place in the 200 backstroke, along with scoring points for Western in two other individual events.
Del Rosario posted a top finish of 14th place in the 400 individual medley at the RMAC meet, adding points to the Mountaineers' team total in her other three individual events.
Western completed the RMAC meet in fourth place, the second straight year the program earned that spot in the final team standings.
